The Senate is working to pass legislation to prevent a railroad strike. So said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
While on the Senate floor, Schumer said Democrats want paid sick leave included in the package and urged Republicans to back the measure. He said time is of the essence to pass a bill much sooner than the December 9th deadline, or there will be painful disruptions to the economy.
