Search For Answers Continues 5 Years After San Benito Woman’s Disappearance, Death

It was five years ago this past Saturday that 19-year-old Nahomi Rodriguez was last seen alive. The San Benito woman disappeared the night of July 17th 2016 after her shift at a Harlingen McDonald’s.

Surveillance video shows Rodriguez speaking with a man in a gray or light blue SUV at the drive-thru window, and is later seen walking across the parking lot toward the SUV.

Nine months later, Rodriguez’s remains were found by a farmer in and along a canal near Centerline Road east of Rio Hondo. Harlingen police have not yet been able to name a suspect in the killing nor determine a motive.

Harlingen police Saturday noted the anniversary of Rodriguez’s disappearance with a news release stating someone has answers and urging them to call their anonymous Crime Stoppers line at 956-425-8477.
