Senate Leader Takes Swing At Anti-Vax Advocates

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is likening anti-vaxxers to those who used to believe the earth is flat. During remarks on the Senate floor, the New York Democrat said the anti-vaccine movement is fueled by online conspiracy theories that he called “crazy” and not based on science.

Meantime, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell called himself a strong supporter of vaccines, but not mandates. The Kentucky Republican again criticized President Biden’s vaccination mandate for large companies, labeling it government overreach.
