Several Democrats are in the running to unseat Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has announced his bid for a fourth term. Among them are state Representative Gina Hinojosa of Austin, who accuses Abbott of corruption.
Houston businessman Andrew White, the son of former Governor Mark White, claims to be an independent Democrat.
Also in the running are former one-term US Congressman Chris Bell of Houston, and Quitman rancher Bobby Cole. The Democratic primary is scheduled for next March 3rd.
