Sheriff Guerra Out Of The Hospital, On Home Recovery From COVID-19

He’s out of the hospital, but Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra is still recovering from his battle with COVID-19. Guerra was released from the hospital on Thanksgiving and is recovering at home, with no firm word as to when he’ll be back in the office.

In an interview with Channel 5 News, Guerra says when he was admitted, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and acute respiratory failure. He says he was treated with remdesivir and convalescent plasma during his week-long hospital stay. Guerra first tested positive for the coronavirus November 9th and was admitted to the hospital 10 days later.
