The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man’s body was discovered near a canal in rural Alamo.
Deputies were called to the 29-hundred block of South Alamo Road just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office did not release the man’s name because they were trying to notify his family. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
