South Padre Island is lifting all COVID-19-related restrictions on beach visitors and vendors.  Mayor Patrick McNulty announced last night that he has canceled an emergency order that limited certain types of equipment on the beach to reduce crowd sizes.  The emergency order also required 15-feet of space between the allowed types of shade structures.  The move to repeal the coronavirus restrictions comes as island hotels, restaurants and bars hope for a boost in business due to the beginning of Spring Break.
