By Anyone arrested in the City of Starbase will be taken into Cameron County custody. The city says it has approved an agreement for the county to provide jail services, since Starbase doesn’t have a police force or any holding cells.
The city approved a deal last week for the county to provide 24/7 law enforcement. The jail deal is expected to begin on October 1st.
