The City of Starbase is applying for a program that could provide state tax refunds for a future SpaceX project. The city wants to have a Texas Enterprise Zone established for the company’s upcoming Gigabay project.
The 700-thousand-square-foot facility would help meet the company’s goal of building and launching more Starships every year. The city could see nearly four-million dollars in sales and use tax refund incentives if the enterprise zone is established. A public hearing on the TEZ designation is set for tomorrow night.
