Starr County JP Accused Of Aiding Drug Trafficking Organization


Federal prosecutors say a justice of the peace in Starr County is suspected of using his position to help a drug trafficking organization.

Police arrested Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Roel Valadez on Wednesday at his home in Rio Grande City following a multi-count indictment issued by a federal grand jury in McAllen on September 7th.

The indictment was unsealed Thursday and was used to arrest 20-people suspected of involvement in the Ignacio “Nacho” Garza drug trafficking operation in Starr County.
