Starr County Sheriff’s Office Seizes 2,000 Pounds Of Marijuana


The Starr County Sheriff’s Office says law enforcement seized more than two-thousand pounds of marijuana during a raid at a property near Roma.

The raid was conducted Wednesday morning after the Border Patrol asked for assistance and a warrant to search the property. Ten people were arrested on drug possession and other charges.

The Border Patrol said the marijuana was worth more than one-point-seven-million-dollars.
