Starr County is closing its drive-thru COVID-19 testing site. County Judge Eloy Vera confirmed Wednesday that the free testing site will close Friday, saying it is no longer needed.
Vera said anyone needing a test could use their insurance to get tested at a clinic or doctor’s office. Those without insurance can go to a mobile testing site that the Texas National Guard will run two days a week. Starr County had 28 positive tests for the virus from October 13th to October 19th.
