Police are investigating a threat against a school in the Weslaco school district. The district announced Thursday that a student was detained after making a verbal threat against Central Middle School.
The district said extra security was provided on campus following the threat. Officials also promised the situation would be thoroughly investigated and that charges could be filed against the student.
