The Sullivan City Council is reprimanding one of its members after he was arrested on drug charges earlier this year. The city council voted to censure Ruben Villalon on Wednesday.
Investigators began looking into drug activity at a tire shop owned by Villalon last year. They raided his business and his home in January, leading to charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.
Villalon has refused to resign from the council, and the censure will keep him from being on city property except for council meetings.
