A man is in custody and accused of participating in at least two of the deaths in the “Texas Killing Fields” case. Prosecutors claim James Elmore helped suspect Clyde Hedrick hide the bodies of two women after they were killed.
Elmore is charged with manslaughter and tampering with evidence. Hedrick was never charged with any of the killings prior to his death last week at age 72. But the Galveston County D-A’s Office says they were preparing to ask a grand jury to charge Hedrick with four murders.
