Suspect Ordered Held Without Bond In Alamo Woman’s Stabbing Death

A suspect is jailed without bond for the stabbing death of a woman at a shopping plaza in Alamo last week. 28-year-old Larry Charles Culbert is charged with murder in the death of 47-year-old Andrea Socorro Reyna.

Alamo police say the two had gotten into an argument in the shopping center parking lot last Thursday evening when Culbert shoved Reyna to the ground, pulled a knife and cut her throat. He then stabbed himself in the neck.

Reyna was pronounced dead at the scene and Culbert was taken to the hospital and treated. Culbert was brought before a judge Saturday and ordered held in the Hidalgo County jail without bond.
