San Antonio police are investigating what led up to a suspect shooting and killing himself while in custody.
The incident happened Thursday after the unidentified suspect had been put in the back of a police cruiser. He had been taken into custody on allegations of driving a stolen car.
While the officers were talking amongst themselves, the suspect got a hold of his own weapon even though he was handcuffed and shot himself in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
