A man wanted for evading arrest in La Joya has been taken into custody in Starr County.
Rio Grande City police began chasing 39-year-old Rafael Demetrio Sanchez Rojas after identifying him yesterday afternoon. Authorities say Sanchez Rojas has been deported from the U.S. eight times and was wanted for evading arrest.
The chase ended in the Mission area, and the suspect had to be treated for minor injuries before being jailed in Starr County.
