Suspected Gulf Cartel Lieutenant Captured In Reynosa


A suspected Gulf Cartel underboss is in custody after his capture in Reynosa. On Monday, The Monitor reported that 27-year old Jose Hernandez was captured in Reynosa by agents with the Tamaulipas Special Operations Group.

The report says investigators in Reynosa say Hernandez is believed to be in charge of trafficking operations near the border. The report says Hernandez directed the cartel’s drug and human trafficking routes near Highway Two on the other side of the Rio Grande from La Grulla in Starr County.
