A board of managers will remain in charge of the La Joya school district for the next two years. The Texas Education Agency announced Monday that the board of managers appointed in 2024 would continue exercising authority over the district.

The TEA says the district has made progress in governance, financial integrity and academic performance under the board, and the extension will allow for additional improvement. The extension will run through February 1st of 2028.
