Texas Court Of Criminal Appeals Deems 2010 Murder Suspect Innocent

The state’s highest appeals court is declaring a Houston man “actually innocent” of a 2010 murder.

Texas Court of Criminal Appeals judges ruled on Wednesday the evidence proves Lydell Grant was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to life in prison. He was accused of stabbing a 28-year-old outside a Harris County bar. Grant was released on bond in 2019 after DNA evidence linked another man to the killing.
