Texas Democrats Want DOJ To Probe Paxton’s Hunt For Voter Fraud

Some Democratic members of the Texas congressional delegation want the Department of Justice to investigate the state’s response to claims of illegal voter registration efforts.

In a press call on Wednesday, five Democratic U.S. representatives from Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso complained about raids on the homes of Latino voter-registration advocates. The lawmakers say the raids may have violated Texas voting rights laws.
