The Texas Democrats who fled to Washington, DC, are still waiting to meet with President Joe Biden. The runaway lawmakers broke quorum in order to obstruct a vote on an election reform law they claim amounts to voter suppression.

In pushing for Congressional action on voting rights, they’ve met with Vice-President Kamala Harris, House Majority Whip James Clyburn, and several Democratic senators. But Biden continues to evade them, and they’re getting frustrated.

Last week, failed presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke said they need to hold Biden accountable for the voting bills stalled in Congress.
