President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which was passed by the House Thursday, includes billions of dollars for Texas. It would reimburse the state for money spent securing the southern border with Operation Lone Star.
State Senator Pete Flores cheered the move in a hearing this morning, saying their commitment to enforcing the law has been reaffirmed. The tax and spending bill includes 12-billion dollars to reimburse states for efforts to enforce immigration laws under President Biden.
