Republican state representatives may face censure from the Texas GOP for not toeing the party line, and could be left off the 2026 primary ballot. The governing board of the Texas Republican Party will meet in the state Capitol on Saturday to discuss the possibilities.
The meeting will focus on ten Texas House Republicans who didn’t fully support GOP priorities during this year’s legislative session. They could be barred from the primary ballot in the first test of a rule adopted at last year’s Texas GOP convention.
