A bill banning all products containing THC is on its way back to the Texas Senate after its approval in the House on Thursday. The bill would allow the sale and consumption only of non-intoxicating cannabinoids known as CBD and CBG.
A 2019 law bans products with more than a trace amount of delta-9 THC, but doesn’t set the same limit for other hemp derivatives. Retailers took advantage of the loophole to sell THC-laced edibles, drinks, and vapes at gas stations and convenience stores statewide.
