The Texas Rangers are now involved in the state investigation of claims of neglect by Camp Mystic during last summer’s deadly flood in the Hill Country.

Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick asked the Department of State Health Services on Tuesday not to renew the camp’s license in the middle of a criminal investigation. It’s not clear who may be prosecuted or what the charges could be. Two counselors and 25 campers drowned at the camp during a flash flood on July 4th.
