Texas health officials say the state recorded more than 64-hundred confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday — the largest single-day increase since February. The latest surge in COVID-19 cases is prompting the state to hold more vaccination clinics across the state. One of those is being held today from three to seven p-m at the Walmart on I-35 North in Bellmead. Statewide, about 52 percent of eligible residents have been fully vaccinated against the virus. All but 43 of the nearly nine-thousand deaths from the virus since February in Texas have been among unvaccinated residents.
