Texas Removes Planned Parenthood From Medicaid


The state’s removal of Planned Parenthood from Medicaid leaves thousands of low-income patients looking for new doctors. There’s already a shortage of doctors in Texas who accept Medicaid because of the state’s low payment rates.

The pandemic has complicated matters by leading to long waiting lists. The state health commission says Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid patients have until February 3rd to find new doctors.
