Texas Republicans Support Vote On Secession From U.S.


The idea of Texas becoming an independent nation is finding some support among Texas Republicans.

State GOP chair Allen West recently drew backlash from both parties when he said Texans should be able to vote on secession from the U.S. The bill is called the Texas Referendum Independence Act, or “Texit,” and it could be introduced as early as this week.
