Texas Senator Ted Cruz is joining a group of Republican senators pushing for legislation that would strip Major League Baseball of its immunity to antitrust laws.

The senators responded after the MLB moved its All-Star Game out of Georgia over new election integrity laws in the state.

MLB has been exempt from federal antitrust laws since 1922, when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled games were regulated by the states in which they were held and therefore outside the scope of federal law.
