Texas wants to allow social media users to sue if a website censors their political views.

State Senator Bryan Hughes says access to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter has become as much of a necessity as a TV signal or a phone connection.

Hughes says when political views are muted, Americans are driven further apart. The regulation of Big Tech is one of the hottest issues across the nation. The state of Florida passed a similar bill, but a federal judge blocked it last month, claiming it was unconstitutional.
