Three Arrested In November Killing Of Brownsville Woman


Three men are facing capital murder and other charges in the killing of a Brownsville woman almost 5 months ago. All three are accused in the shooting death of 39-year-old Adela Gonzalez November 2nd of last year. Her body was found in the 2000 block of Dana Avenue.

Brownsville police announced Monday that one of the men, 36-year-old Jose Arnoldo Rodriguez, was arrested last Wednesday in Brownsville, while the other two, Charly Carillo-Torres and Jonathan Roman-Martinez, both 33, were taken into custody in San Antonio.

Police say the department’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit along with Texas Rangers and U.S. Marshals all worked to track the three suspects down. Police have not yet provided any other information about the arrests nor the circumstances of Gonzalez’s killing.
