The organization that runs Houston’s convention and tourism operations is working to bring more movie and TV production to town. The announcement by Houston First Corporation comes after the state Legislature set aside 300 million dollars every two years through 2035 for filmmaking incentives.
The Houston Film Commission will manage the new initiative, which will offer financial incentives to productions in an effort to make Houston more competitive as a filmmaking destination both in Texas and nationwide.
