Travelers at San Antonio International Airport are seeing some delays because of the federal government shutdown.
Air traffic control was already short-handed prior to the shutdown. But since they’re required to work without pay for the time being, air traffic controllers and other essential federal employees are calling in sick more often.
The Federal Aviation Administration says staffing shortages are causing occasional delays for flights into Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, Austin, and other cities.
