President Trump says a deal with Iran could be on the horizon. While speaking to reporters on board Air Force One Sunday, Trump said he does potentially see a deal coming soon with the country, although he failed to get into a specific timetable.

Trump was then asked if he was still considering putting boots on the ground, adding that he has “lots of alternatives” and that the country is ahead of schedule with Iran. Iran says its military is ready to face U.S. troops on the ground if necessary.

Iran’s state media cited that country’s parliament speaker as saying the U.S. is “unaware” that its military is waiting for American soldiers to enter on the ground and “punish” them.
