President Trump says he has no reason not to believe Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s denial of reports that he ordered the killing of everyone aboard an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean, leading to a second strike to eliminate two survivors.

Venezuela is now accusing the U.S. of murder after acknowledging that its citizens were among those killed in the boat strikes and U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are calling for more information.

Trump was asked about the situation by reporters aboard Air Force One as he returned to the White House from Florida, where he spent the Thanksgiving weekend, and said he believes Secretary Hegseth “100 percent.”
