President Donald Trump says he’ll soon endorse one of the two candidates in the Texas Republican Senate primary, and he may ask the one he doesn’t endorse to drop out.
The GOP Senate primary between Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Senator John Cornyn went to a runoff on Tuesday. The president stated on Truth Social that the GOP primary race in Texas can’t “be allowed to go on any longer.”
Trump held off on endorsing during the primary, but he announced Wednesday that he’ll make an endorsement “soon.”
