President Trump says Venezuela is releasing large numbers of political prisoners following the recent U.S. military operation that removed President Nicolas Maduro from power.
Posting on social media this morning, Trump called it a “smart gesture,” and said the U.S. and Venezuela are “working well together” on rebuilding the country’s oil and gas infrastructure.
The President wrote, “Because of this cooperation, I have canceled the previously expected second wave of attacks.” Trump also claimed, “At least 100 billion dollars will be invested by Big Oil, all of whom I will be meeting with today at the White House.”
