President Trump says direct peace talks between Russia and Ukraine will start immediately. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said his call Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the war with Ukraine went very well.
The two leaders spoke for almost two hours on Monday and Trump suggested the talks could take place at The Vatican. According to Russian media, Putin called the talks “frank and substantive.” Trump said he spoke with Ukrainian President Zelensky and other world leaders after the call.’
