President Trump has repeated his call for the federal government to “nationalize” elections in the U.S. Trump on Tuesday accused several Democratic-run cities of corruption, and said if state’s can’t run elections fairly, then the federal government should get involved.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, however, that Trump was actually referring to the SAVE Act, which she said would require citizens to present an ID before casting a ballot.
