President Trump says he will soon sign an executive order to pay all Homeland Security employees as the partial government shutdown continues. This comes after House Speaker Mike Johnson said Republicans will pass the Senate bill that funds DHS, minus ICE, and Customs and Border Protection.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune agreed to fast-track a reconciliation measure that funds ICE and CBP that wouldn’t require Democrat support. President Trump has endorsed the deal.

The House took no action on the bill today during smaller pro forma session and will reconvene Monday for another pro forma session.
