A man and a woman from Pharr are facing charges after cocaine was found in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says a trooper stopped a Volkswagen Jetta on U.S. 83 east of Jackson Road last Thursday. The driver reportedly appeared nervous, so the trooper asked for consent to search the vehicle. The search found seven bundles of cocaine with an estimated street value of over 131-thousand dollars.

Thirty-four-year-old Jorge Luis Garcia and 30-year-old Joana Suaste Saldana were both arrested and charged with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.
