Two men are facing charges after a gun was fired near a Cameron County boat ramp over the weekend.

Investigators say a Customs and Border Protection agent saw a man holding an AR-15-style rifle near the Jaime Zapata Memorial Boat Ramp on Sunday. At least one shot was reportedly fired.

Esteban Luis Angel Macias was arrested and charged with deadly conduct and tampering with evidence. Authorities also pursued Leonardo Perez after he left the scene of the shooting, arresting him about a half-mile away. He was charged with evading arrest.
