Two men are facing charges in San Benito after allegedly hitting a woman in an attempt to steal her vehicle. Police were called to a Dollar Tree on West Highway 77 on Monday.
Investigators say the suspects began punching the victim in the face and stomach after she refused their demand to get out of her vehicle. Carlos Mejorado and Omar Castillo were later arrested and charged with robbery and public intoxication. They were arraigned yesterday and were each given a 350-thousand-dollar bond.
