A man and a woman are facing charges for allegedly attacking an elderly man in Elsa. Police say a 70-year-old man told Monica Edith Zarate she couldn’t park in front of JFK Elementary School on May 5th. Zarate reportedly moved her car but then continued arguing with the man.
Investigators say Matthew Avery Ybarra then pushed the man to the ground, kicking him while Zarate sprayed him in the face with pepper spray.
Zarate and Ybarra are both facing charges of injuring an elderly person, while Ybarra also faces charges of obstruction and drug possession.
