Two Texas Democrats Arrested Following Voting Rights Protest In DC

Two Texas Democrats are in trouble with the law after a voting rights rally in Washington, D.C.

On Tuesday, Texas Congressman Al Green and state representative Ron Reynolds were arrested by Capitol Police outside of the Supreme Court for protesting the voter legislation bills currently pending in the Texas legislature. Police say the two and a third individual were taken into custody for allegedly crowding, obstructing and incommoding.

The Texas Democratic Party commended the two lawmakers saying they proudly stand with them for being unapologetic voices for our rights during this movement.
