U.S. Congressman Vicente Gonzalez Discusses Missing Persons, Unidentified Remains Act


U.S. Congressman Vicente Gonzalez discusses the merits and scope of his Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains Act.

Gonzalez, along with Brooks County Sheriff Benny Martinez and Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra, spoke on the matter at a media event in Edinburg yesterday. Gonzalez says the bipartisan measure he sponsored, and which was signed into law December 31st by then President Trump, will help border counties with federal resources.

The assistance will contribute to covering the cost of identifying and recovering the remains of immigrants who die during their effort to illegally enter the country.
