The U.S. Secretary of Education says he’s very impressed with what he saw during a tour of schools in Hidalgo County Wednesday.

Secretary Miguel Cardona and Congressman Vicente Gonzalez of McAllen visited several schools during their short tour. Cardona said he’d like to bottle what he saw at the Hidalgo County schools, praising students for their achievement and leadership.

The secretary’s trip was designed to promote President Biden’s education agenda under the Build Back Better plan.
