UTRGV Reopens Online Coronavirus Vaccine Registration

Online registration for another 10,000 people to get a coronavirus vaccine opened Monday at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and once again it didn’t take long to fill the platform. Within a couple of hours, 10,000 people had registered.

The online registration platform will open again after this latest group of 10,000 is vaccinated, which will likely take about a week. UT Health RGV has been administering an average of 2,000 first-dose shots a week.

The list of those eligible to receive a vaccine has expanded to include people 50 and older, and people in the education and child care fields.
